This book's title is definitely interesting and pairs well with its dark theme. I think the story, with a little more development, would make for a great movie. It's an excellent action thriller; if you like his genre, you'll enjoy it!
Super Serial is a masterfully written dark comedy that deftly balances humor, action, and emotional depth. The prose is sharp, with a dry wit that complements the absurdity of a world where corporate death matches and identity theft are the norm. Ziglar Ghostshade’s grief and chaotic life are captured with both hilarity and poignancy, giving the story a surprising emotional weight. The cast of quirky, well-developed characters adds richness to the fast-paced plot, making it as entertaining as it is thought-provoking. Winner of the Global Book Award in Dark Comedy, Super Serial is a must-read for clever, offbeat narratives fans.

The characters are well-developed and relatable, drawing you into their world effortlessly. The writing style is engaging, blending dark comedy with intense drama in a way that makes the story truly unique. Super Serial by Harker McNair is a dark comedy thriller that delivers a wildly entertaining ride. Following Ziglar Ghostshade, an exiled Corporate Marshal haunted by his husband’s death, the story skillfully blends humor, grief, and corporate dystopia into an unforgettable narrative. "Super Serial" is a thrilling, darkly humorous dive into a world of intrigue and suspense. The quirky characters and fast-paced plot make it impossible to put down. A unique and captivating read for fans of dark comedy and mystery!
Harker McNair evokes the kind of hardboiled, grimdark, seedy fever dream you'd imagine blooming from a ravine filled with forgotten corpses and broken dreams. He nails his vibe with expertly controlled command of the English language, his sentences jagged like the glass his characters seem to chew in their deranged minds. If you like your tales grimy, cruel and very intriguing, this series is for you. Wow.
If you took Repo! The Generic Opera and The Hunger Games and a rag tag discount version of the Breakfast Club and threw them all into a dystopian wasteland to battle to the death, you would still only come close to Super Serial. And I mean that in the best and sickest way!! The humor and dialogue might not be for everyone but if you can make it to chapter 3 it’s a whirlwind of adventure from then on.Corporate greed leads people to resort to desperate measures just to survive and the corporations solution to crime? Murder games. Seriously I finished this book in a day because I just wanted to know if Ziggy was going to be successful and now I have to dive into the next book to see if Carol really did ‘serial delete’ her neighbors.DONT wait. Stop reading this review and please go read this book.
In a world where deathmatches are corporate entertainment, "Super Serial" stands out as a darkly comedic thriller that expertly mixes corporate drama, high-octane action, and touching moments. My only minor gripe is that the writing style felt a bit plain at times. While it didn’t bother me much, others might find it challenging. However, the clever humor and delightful absurdity, along with its darker undertones, more than make up for it. Absolutely worth the read!
I came across this and the first book (Super Serial) on TT, and am I ever glad I did. It ticked all the boxes I have for thriller/killer stories: violence, comradery, jokes within jokes, gross out and gore. The characters are all clichés that add to the levity, but they also have parts that make them unique and build them up for the readers. I genuinely can not wait for the next book!
A darkly comedic thriller, this book follows Ziglar Ghostshade as he’s blackmailed into leading a team in a deadly corporate competition, all while haunted by his murdered husband. Fast-paced and full of twisted intrigue, it’s a gripping read.

It’s outrageous plot with the characters having a philosophical touch. I found this highly engaging.
Well written; the book was immediately engaging, pulling you seamlessly into Ziggy's world, chaotic past, and flawed choices. The book gives me grungy Dresden vibes; and I mean that in the best way.
