You can have only two reasons for proceeding beyond this point. One, you don’t have any triggers, but are a morbidly curious individual who is dying to know what the author could have written to necessitate such a long trigger warning. Two, you’re definitely morbidly curious, but you do have some triggers, and need to know exactly what you’re getting into before you start reading. That is why this warning starts with a comprehensive list of triggers NOT included in the book, so you can stop reading in order to avoid spoilers.

A secondary character in the series is neuro-divergent. This character is based on the author’s personal experience with neuro-divergence and autism. Topics discussed regarding this character may include, but are not limited to, sensory difficulties and overload, communication difficulties, social challenges, and repetitive behaviors. Although this character is based on a real person with autism, some individuals may still find these discussions perpetuate stigmatizing or harmful stereotypes about autism and neuro-divergence. A villain in one scene insults this character with ableist language that might be offensive to the neuro-divergent. Additionally, the character's sensory processing difficulties and communication style frustrate other characters in different parts of the story.  

A secondary character in the series is a person of advanced age. Some individuals may find this topic perpetuates stigmatizing, ageist, and harmful stereotypes. Many characters in the course of the series make comments and jokes about this character's age and appearance that might be offensive to some readers. Please proceed with caution.

In this series, one of the serial killer categories is "Pet Lovers." This means that many serial killer characters have trained and untrained pets in the competition. These pets, especially a secondary character's corgis, are both attackers and attacked by humans and by other animals. Specifically depicted or discussed are several dog maulings resulting in death, racoon attacks, a gorilla rampage resulting in death, a dog carried off by a predator bird, an ostrich attack, etc. This category also includes insect attacks (bees), and reptile attacks (snakes). If you find depictions of dog attacks, animal attacks, or animal death triggering, please proceed with extreme caution.

There is a scene in Super Duper Serial where a female character is attacked, and the attacker holds her down while threatening to sexually assault her. Although the attacker is killed, the depiction of sexual assault in this scene may be too triggering for some. Please proceed with caution. This scene can be found in Chapter 14 of Super Duper Serial, Cake My Breath Away.

There is a scene in Super Duper Serial that discusses child harm that resulted in death. The perpetrators of these horrific crimes are being tortured and punished in violent and unsettling ways. Although the child harm is not depicted, it is discussed with minor details. If you find conversations about child death or harm triggering, this material will not be a good fit for you. This depiction is found in Chapter 10 of Super Duper Serial, Pie of the Tiger.

One of the serial killer characters is a devout Christian woman. Topics included in this discussion may include religious beliefs, practices, and traditions associated with Christianity. Some individuals may find these depictions upsetting, especially if they have experienced trauma or abuse within a Christian context, or if they have any personal or cultural history that conflicts with the content presented. Please proceed with caution.

The main character of this story has body image issues and criticizes himself for his weight and appearance, indicating internalized fat-phobia. This criticism may include, but is not limited to, weight-stigma, body shaming, discrimination, and negative attitudes toward overweight people. Many villainous characters make fatphobic and insulting comments about this person's appearance and weight. There are also depictions of the physical limitations the character experiences from obesity. Some people may feel stigmatized or stereotyped by these discussions. This depiction is a reflection of the author’s personal experience and exists within the character to provide a glimpse into this internal struggle. However, if you find fat-phobia triggering, this material will not be a good fit for you.  

The Super Serial Series contains discussions and depictions of individuals forced into labor by both corporations, and by the Super Serial games. This forced labor may include discussions and depictions of debt and debtors, labor prisons, impoverished persons, and innocent victims forced to labor against their will. Secondary topics discussed include physical and emotional abuse and systematic oppression. Some historically marginalized or oppressed individuals, and individuals battling difficult financial circumstances, may find this depiction particularly distressing.  

The main character of the Super Serial Series struggles with grief and loss as a result of a spouse dying at the hands of a serial killer. This grief includes secondary themes of anxiety, depression, hopelessness, loss, trauma, and difficulty adjusting to life without a spouse or partner. People who have lost their spouses or are grieving may find these topics distressing. Understanding grief and grief acceptance are major themes in the book. If you find this topic triggering, please prioritize your mental health and proceed with caution.  

Super Serial contains a chapter that depicts a labor auction where human beings are sold to corporations. This labor auction includes impoverished persons, criminals, and older adults. Additional topics discussed include forced labor, physical and emotional abuse, and systematic oppression. Some historically marginalized or oppressed individuals may find this depiction particularly distressing. This depiction can be found Chapter 16 of Super Serial, Purple Glaze. 

The serial killers described in this book experience antisocial behaviors, delusions, disordered thinking, erratic and reckless behavior, hallucinations, manic episodes, mood swings and many more potentially triggering behaviors. Some readers may feel stigmatized or discriminated against while reading these descriptions, even though they are not directly associated with any particular disorder or illness. Please do not proceed if you feel these descriptions, or any other listed above, may compromise your mental health or wellness. 

In Super Duper Serial, many of the criminals ie. rapists, pedophiles, and other sex offenders, are presented without clothing as a method of humiliation. Although these descriptions are not detailed, nudity is present and implied in several chapters. If this is triggering for you, please do not proceed.

One of the serial killers in this story is a member of a radicalized INCEL (involuntarily celibate) hate group. This killer makes horrific comments that demean, objectify, and demoralize women. This includes several conversations about rape, harassment, and sexual assault. Although this character’s actions and comments are inspired by real events, they are disturbing, triggering, and upsetting, especially for those who have experienced sexual assault and harassment themselves or know someone who has. Please do not continue if these discussions trigger you.  

The Super Serial Series, specifically Super Duper Serial, contains many references to pedophiles, rapists, and other sex offenders. Serial killers torture, mutilate, and murder these criminals in graphic and violent ways. If you find depictions of, and discussions about pedophilia, sex offenders, and rapists being tortured and killed triggering, please do not proceed.  

The Super Serial Series is about the glorification of serial killers in the media. It contains gratuitous violence and discussions about serial killers and their methods of killing. Many of the details in this story are inspired by real serial killers and events.
